A food tour of Cromer

Thousands of tourists flock to North Norfolk each year to relax in the slower pace of life, take in the beautiful coastline and indulge in fish and chips by the sea.

For many, it's a nostalgic place of childhood holidays; paddling in rock pools and winning on the 2p machines, but North Norfolk has a lot more to offer than quaint tea rooms and ice cream stalls.

The rise of property prices along the North Norfolk coastline has led to an boom in independent coffee shops, bars and quirky street food vendors which bring a youthful vibrancy to our sleepy seaside towns.

Some of our favourites are:

The Bucket List, Cromer.

A fantastic take away with bulging buckets of chips with ridiculously delicious toppings.  With an ever changing menu and daily specials, you can be assured that you will be ready for a snooze on the sand after one of these.

Nash Falafal, Cromer

A new addition to the food scene in Cromer, Nash Falafal offers a range of vegetarian and vegan wraps and salads, as well as vegan dirty fries.

North Sea Coffee Co.

Join the locals for the best coffee in Cromer with the best views.  With it's tiny take away shop on the promenade right between the lifeboats and the lifeguards, North Sea is the place to be.  Coffee, tea, cold drinks and cakes.

The Gangway, Cromer

Micro pub and brewery, The Gangway is the place to be in Cromer.  With a menu of delicious cocktails, craft beers, wine, coffee and snacks, if you can grab a table, you'll be able to soak in a brilliant atmosphere.  You could also grab a takeaway beer to eat with your Nash wrap.  Perfect.

Hatters Tea Room, Cromer

Mixing the chic with the quaint, Hatters Tea Room is a calm and beautiful tea room with a long list of gorgeous teas, homemade cakes and decadent afternoon teas.  You can just as comfortably pop in for a coffee and a pastry, or spend all afternoon on the sofa, reading and sipping Early Grey.

The Cabin, Cromer

The newest kid on the block, The Cabin serves up exciting South Asian flavours with vegetarian and vegan dishes alongside meat options.  Originally a converted caravan, the Cabin now has set up home in Cromer and their Taco's have been most welcome.
